Morong, Bataan

Morong is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Bataan, Philippines. According to the latest census, it has a population of 27,119 people in 4,204 households. Subic Bay International Airport is located in this town. Morong was formerly known as Moron.
Bataan Provincial Expresway
Bataan Provincial Expresway, also known as the Roman Expressway or the Roman Superhighway, is a toll two-lane freeway with pedestrian lanes, intersections, and junctions that connects Bataan to the provinces of the Central Luzon region in the Philippines.
The expressway begins in Layac, Dinalupihan, Bataan at a t-junction with the Olongapo-Gapan Road. It then passes through Dinalupihan, Hermosa, Samal, Orani, Abucay, Balanga City, Pilar, Orion, Limay and Mariveles
The expressway is owned by the province of Bataan and is operated by Tollways Management Corporation - the operator of both North Luzon Expressway, Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway and Subic-Tipo Expressway.
Kilometer 3 - Layak Toll Barrier, Dinalupihan
Roman Superhighway opens in Barangay Layak, Dinalupihan. This is where the Olongapo-Gapan Road turns eastwards to Dinalupihan and outer Hermosa municipalities.
Exit 5 - Layak Exit - Dinalupihan
This is the first official exit of BPEX. Right goes to Layak proper and further north is Barangay Palihan and Culis, Hermosa. Layak Exit is where the National Road and the entrance to the expressway itself diverges.
Exit 10 - Poblacion Exit - Hermosa
Located at upper Hermosa, the detour westwards leads travelers to Barangay San Pedro and Hermosa municipal proper. The exit is flanked by Beverly Heights V subdivision in Barangay Cataning.
Exit 15 - Tala Exit - Orani
There are two roads that spur from this exit: one leading westwards which is bound for Barangays Talahib, Kawayan and Tugatog and Poblacion Orani and another elevating roads leading to mountainous Barangays Pag-Asa and Tala.
Exit 20 - Lalawigan Exit - Samal
Barangay Imelda is located in this exit. Going eastwards is Barangay Gugo and Palili. The western spur then provides access to Barangay San Juan and Lalawigan, near Samal town proper.
Exit 25 - Mabatang Exit - Abucay
Mabatang exit is located at upper Mabatang, Abucay, where the famous Sibul Springs is located. Barangays Salian, Sitio Gomez, and Bangkal flank this exit.
Kilometer 28 - Mabatang Toll Barrier, Abucay
Located at upper Capitangan, Abucay, Mabatang Toll Barrier provides a detour for motorists going westwards to main Capitangan and Calaylayan barangays and to Abucay Star Mill Rice Milling plant.
Exit 30 - Ibayo Exit - Balanga City
One major road located in this exit is the Enrique Garcia Sr. Avenue, a 2 kilometer highway which separates the Tuyo National Road and upper Tenejero, Balanga. Bataan National High School and Bataan Heroes Memorial College are found in this exit. Numerous roads leading to Barangays San Jose, Camacho, Munting Batangas, Bagong Silang, Cataning, Cupang, Talisay and Dangcol are also situated in this exit. All west roads lead to either the Bataan Capitol or downtown Balanga.
Exit 35 - Ala-Uli Exit - Pilar
Barangay Ala-uli is situated along the Crossroads between Orion, Pilar proper and Mount Samat Shrine. These three locations were cut by Governor J.J. Linao National Road, an easy access for travelers bound for Bagac and Morong. Eastwards directs to Barangays Ala-uli, Diwa, Nagwaling and San Isidro, including Mount Samat, Bagac and Morong. While going left is the Bataan Government Center, downtown Pilar, and the Flaming Sword Shrine.
Exit 40 - Daang Pare Exit - Orion
Going west leads to Barangays Bilolo and Santa Elena, while there are roads spurring from this exit leading to upper Sabatan and Mabato. Barangay Bilolo, which directs thorugh Orion proper, is in this exit. Orion port is located almost a kilometer away from this exit.
Exit 45 - Lamao Exit - Limay
From here, the National Road and the Roman Superhighway road itself merges into a single road in Barangay Lamao, Limay. There are no roads spurring on both sides anymore, but merely leading to some key points in Lamao.
Exit 50 - Sisiman Exit - BEPZA
Sisiman exit serves as the welcome arch for visitors of the Bataan Export Processing Zone Authority (BEPZA). An almost 2 kilometer zigzag road leads motorists to Barangay Malaya which is officially under the control of BEPZA. Going south is Barangay Ipag and Alas-asin.
Kilometer 53 - Sisiman Toll Barrier, Mariveles
Right after the zigzag road is the toll barrier of Sisiman, which opens to Baseco and Malaya.
Exit 55 - Baseco Exit - Mariveles
This is the last exit of BPEX for the central system service. All roads spurring from Baseco country will direct you to Mariveles Poblacion, Camaya beach, the Mariveles Mental Ward and Barangays Maligaya, Malaya, Biaan, Camaya, Balon Anito, and San Isidro.
Exit 60 - Quinawan Exit - Bagac
Spurring from Governor J.J. Linao Road is Quinawan Exit in Bagac, which is the first exit of the closed system of BPEX. Roads from Quinawan lead to the center of Bagac and Morong.
Exit 65 - Sabang Exit - Morong
Sabang Exit leads travelers to beaches in Nagbalayong and Sabang. This may be taken as a road access to the site of Bataan Nuclear Power Plant.
Kilometer 68 - Sabang Toll Barrier, Morong
This leads directly to the Subic Bay Freeport Zone and Subic Bay International Airport. It could also be a road to Mount Natib and BNPP.
Exit 70 - Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway, Subic
After Sabang, the BPEX officially ends by merging with the Subic-Clark-Tarlac-Expressway in Subic municipality, where motorists can have easy access to Subic, Clark and Olongapo City.
