Caloocan

City of Caloocan also known as the City of Kalookan (officially Makasaysayang Lungsod ng Caloocan or in English The Historic City of Caloocan) is one of the cities and municipalities that comprises the National Capital Region of Metro Manila in the Philippines. It is a major residential area inside Metro Manila. Located just north of the capital City of Manila, Caloocan is the country's third most populous city with a population of 1,378,856 as of the 2007 census.
Caloocan City's 10th Avenue area is well-known for the clusters of motorcycle dealers and motorcycle spare parts dealers. Among the major and famous streets are P. Zamora Street and A. Mabini Street.
Numerous banks have branches in the city such as Banco de Oro, East West Bank, MetroBank, Maybank, Chinabank, Bank of the Philippine Islands, etc.
The city also has a number of shopping malls including Ever Gotesco Grand Central, Victory Central Mall, Puregold, etc. in which most of them are located in Monumento area.
There are rumors of a SM Department Store to be built in Caloocan City. This rumor began appearing in certain blogs and forums. As of this date, there has been no official confirmation about the said mall, which will replace the old Kalookan Grand Plaza in Monumento area. But Point Design, Inc. has already published in its site renders for the proposed mall, hinting at the possibility of construction of SM City Caloocan.
The Manila North Tollways Corporation's headquarters, the concession holder of the North Luzon Expressway, is housed in Caloocan City.
